Eurovision Song Contest 2014 ∙ And my points go to…

Eurovision
There are two things I look forward to the most every year: Halloween and something completely different. The Eurovision Song Contest! The awful opening jokes, tacky gimmicks and bad English accents; I love it all!

This year the festival is hosted in Copenhagen, Denmark and it’s become quite the tradition to share my points with you. Gotten curious who my favorites are this year? Click for more!

“Good evening Copenhagen, Hello Europe. This is Temple Tutorials calling!”
These are the first results of Temple Tutorials’ votes:

1 Point – Montenegro

2 Points – Malta

3 Points – United Kingdom

4 Points – Armenia

5 Points – Ukraine

6 Points – Greece

7 Points – Sweden

And now, let’s continue with the remaining points:

8 Points – Norway

Norway touches the heart with Carl Espen and his beautiful ballad. The first time I heard this song on Thursday I almost burst into tears. This song is touching, emotional and beautifully sang by Carl. It’s truly stunning.

10 Points – Austria

This year Austria joins the festival with their fabulous drag queen Conchita Wurst. And boy, do I love every bit of her. Rise Like a Phoenix is a truly amazing song, and Conchita nails every note without even trying. Her fabulous lace-front wig, sultry false lashes and beard have me swooning for more. Everything tells me Conchita should be this year’s winner, and I would definitely like to see that happen, however I don’t expect all the Eastern-Europe countries to vote for her.

12 Points – The Netherlands

If there’s one country I wish to win this year it’s The Netherlands. I can feel your judgment, but boy am I hoping we will snatch the title this year! With a very simple, emotional and raw/real song I feel like we really deserve it. The chemistry between Ilse and Waylon is mesmerizing and Oeeeeeeeeh, I hope we win!

The 2014 Eurovision Finals air tonight, May 10th!
