Review & Swatches: Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow “My Two Cents”

Sometimes when you first discover a makeup brand, you immediately fall in love.
You want to buy all of their products, go home and just dump it all on your face.
With Benefit I never really had that experience, I always thought they looked fun and such, but not “tickle-my makeup belly-worthy” ← (let’s make that a thing, haha)

However, when I tried Benefit’s “The Porefessional” and the “They’re Real!” mascara my love for Benefit started growing rapidly. My love for them started growing so fast, I felt a little tickle in my makeup belly every time I used one of their products.

I decided to buy the Creaseless Cream Shadow in “My Two Cents” and Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner..

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the utter cuteness of this packaging. Benefit’s new Creaseless Cream Shadows come in a too cute for words vintage box. It takes you right back to the past and makes you feel like Marilyn Monroe opening one of her makeup products. Huge points on the packaging, Benefit! Great job!

Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow: “My Two Cents” – (€19,50 EUR /$19.00 USD)
As most of you know I’m a sucker for bronzy, browny, warm colors. So me telling you that I absolutely love the color of “My Two Cents” shouldn’t come as a surprise. This bronze beauty is perfect for daily wear and amping it up for heavier looks.

The formula of these cream shadows are great. They are pigmented, smooth and easy to apply. The best thing might be that they also blend like a dream. And once they’re set, they don’t budge.

To show you that cream shadows are perfect for soft, daily looks as well,
Here I present you a look I did using “My Two Cents” as a base for my model’s lower lashline on a photo-shoot I did makeup and hair for this weekend ↴

So, What’s the verdict?
I have a new Benefit love. “My Two Cents” is utterly stunning and perfect for daily wear, or amping it up for a heavier, smokier look. The formula of these are great and really stay on like a dream. But what I love most about it all: that cute packaging, perfection!

The shadows seems to be great! But I got really distracted by the models brows – isn’t that too much?..
I know, the more natural – the better, but maybe a little work of tweezer and it will be better? )))
Anyway, thanks for the review, I’m already got to their website!

Full, strong brows are a huge trend at the moment. I’m a personal lover of them and I really think it makes Alice much more unique. Of course full, bushy brows aren’t everyone’s thing, but please have respect for my model. – Thanks for your support :) x

I love thick brows, they are gorgeous!! just think Elizabeth Taylor or Brooke Shields.

I will say though Nikki that I don’t think the person that commented was being “disrespectful”. She can give her opinion and I think she did it in a nice way. The point of trends is so that you can A: say you like them or B: say “hmm i don’t really like that trend much.

I see how it can be “distracting” or surprising but I actually like it a lot, that look makes u look younger. Try it for yourself and see. ;)
I’ve tried it a few times (during the weekend because I wasn’t sure of the result) but I always got compliments for it, even by just doing my brows and nothing else, shows you how brows are important to frame a face.

Awesome review Nikkie! I’m tempted to get this now! >_<'

How I wish it would only cost me two cents, though…

Hiii!!!I love the look *.* she’s gorgeous!!Which lipstick have you used on her??
    Love your style ;)

    • NikkieTutorials says:

I first blanked Alice’s lips out completely with some concealer. Then applied a layer of MAC’s lipmix in “Crimson” and finished off with a little bit of “Lady Danger” lipstick in the middle of Alice’s lips. – Hope that helps :) x

Hi Nikkie… always adore your make-up skills. I love how cute your model looks. The bushy thick eye-brows are giving her a very innocent look which I loved the most.

  6. As always, your blogposts are perfection Nikkie ! I know you put a lot of work in making them that’s why I decided to tell you that everytime you post :)

Hi Nikki, your model looks great!…Love the lippy you chose. My question about the benefit cream shadows is , are they all shimmery? I find as i get older i shouldnt wear so many shimmery products but i so much love cream shadows. Are any of them more matte-ish? Thanks :)

    Hey giiirrrl :) lol

Just wanted to tell you your doing an amazing job and you are so entertaining! I watched your phone video yesterday when I really didn’t care for the title just because you have this energy about you that ( well obviously) people love to see!

Question: for someone who does not wear lipstick (other than nude) do you have any recommendations as far as a “starter” lip stick you think everyone should try? I just feel like I look like a clown whenever I have a color down there. Lol. Please let me know. And sorry I know it’s not blog post related. :)

  10. Corinne says:

Can it be used as a base for eyeshadows also? Just like Mac paintpots?

  11. Sammy says:

    hoi Nikkie,

  13. Jo says:

You should try bikinitiny crease less cream shadow or skinny jeans. You’ll love them, bikinitiny is a warm cream champagne. And skinny jeans is a grey green. Grey in the pot but turns a bit green when blended. Love them, so easy to use too!!!
