2013 is coming to an end and I can’t think of a year that I loved more than 2013. Never has a year brought me so many new adventures, thrilling new opportunities and unforgettable moments. I already looked back at 2013 in my recently uploaded The Resolutions TAG<\/a> but to really wrap this unforgettable year up, today I’m showing you my biggest highlights with Instagram pictures!<\/p>\n

January<\/h2>\n

\nI wanted to start 2013 off new, different and fresh. I needed a change, and I found that change in my hair. I called up my hair stylist and hours later my hair was Pastel Pink! I absolutely loved it! It was so soft yet daring and different, I couldn’t be happier! 2013 was off to a great start.<\/p>\n

February<\/h2>\n

\"IG02\"<\/a> \"IG03\"<\/a> \"IG04\"<\/a> \"IG05\"<\/a>
\nThe month that changed my entire life. The month of love<\/em>. My life had always been about taking my skills to the next level and working my butt off to grow as an artist, YouTuber and teacher. Basically my life was all about work. Boyfriends? Tssk, I don’t need that!<\/em><\/p>\n

Until February knocked on my door. February brought a guy named Rick who changed it all. The first guy I’ve ever really fallen for. The guy who taught me that life isn’t all about working, but also for love and time to relax. The first guy who showed me what it’s like to have someone to always rely on and someone that never fails you. On the 16th of February<\/em> Rick became my boyfriend. Oh and that picture of that cute Hansel & Gretel themed house? That was our first date!<\/p>\n

\nThe month of my birthday! Goodbye 18, Hello 19!<\/em> Nothing really special happened in March for me. In silent months like March I tend to over-think and doubt everything. Little did I know great things were going to happen later in 2013…<\/p>\n

April<\/h2>\n

\nApril was spent mostly in the hospital and my bed. Lots of things happened to my body in April. I had to get surgery for my knee and when recovering from that I got really sick. Out of nowhere there was a leak in my intestines and that -of course-<\/em> had to get fixed as well. Luck was not on my side in April, haha. I remember feeling absolutely miserable for 2 weeks straight. It was horrible. I couldn’t do anything, and for people that know me, I suck at doing nothing. I couldn’t wait for April to be over and be my normal self again.<\/p>\n

\nMy biggest highlight of May was when Cynthia Schultz\/Misslipgloss<\/em> launched her first book. Why would that be such a highlight to you?<\/em> Because I did Cynthia’s makeup for the entire book! Cover, inside, back… I did it all! It was such an amazing opportunity to get my work published in an actual book, so surreal! Thank you Cynthia for asking me, it was an honor.<\/p>\n

\nIn June we shot Fashionmilk<\/a>‘s 3.0 shoot: The New Neons<\/a>. One of my favorite shoots I’ve ever done to date. The bright colors, beautiful models and amazing team made this shoot unforgettable.<\/p>\n

A big dark hole in June was when I decided I wanted go back to Pink hair. I wanted the same, soft Pastel color the hair stylist gave me back in January. But somehow this hair stylist thought it’d be fun to add some more Pink in. I was left with the most radiant Magenta locks ever and I felt like a clown. Ugh<\/em>, you can read more about the horror here<\/a>, but trust me: never. again<\/em>. I was left with the most dead hair ever.<\/p>\n

\nHoliday! Celebrate!<\/em> July was all about taking time to relax, breath and spend time with friends. With Sharon<\/a> and Sosja I went to sunny Mallorca. It was a beautiful holiday with lots of good shopping and unending laughter. Biggest highlights in Mallorca were the KIKO Store and this cute, little store filled with popular American brands! I was in heaven! You can read a Holiday Diary here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

August<\/h2>\n

\nWanna be on top?<\/em> August was the month that a new season of Holland’s Next Top Model<\/em> started airing. And oh boy, was it a fun season. I got to do makeup for the promo shots on 4 of the gorgeous girls. Who was your favorite this season?<\/em><\/p>\n

\n\"IG020\"<\/a>
\nIn September, life started taking a whole new direction: I decided it was time for me to learn hair. I’ve always lacked interest and skills in hair and I felt incomplete. I quickly decided to follow a hair course at WE R Agency<\/a> in Amsterdam. It might be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The things I’ve learned there are impossible to put into words. I highly suggest checking them out if you want to learn real fashion hair.<\/p>\n

Another huge thing is that I got asked to be head Makeup & Hair Artist for a new Dutch Tv show that’ll air in March. This also is something I’ll never forget. The fun I had with the crew, the hosts and models. I can’t wait for you to see in March! You can read more about it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

October<\/h2>\n

\nOctober felt like a dream. Everything went by so fast. For the new TV show I got to do super model, Andrej Pejic’s hair & makeup and actually talk about life with him for a bit. He’s such an inspirational, beautiful human being. He oozes inspiration. You can read more about that day right here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The remaining part of October was filled with more days of filming for the new TV show. Above you can see me posing with lovely Twyla Hayes, one of the hosts of the show. An absolute sweetheart, and SO gorgeous.<\/p>\n

I closed October by filming 2 Halloween Tutorials. My favorite of the 2 was this Sad Clown<\/a> Look, I loved getting arty farty and creative!<\/p>\n

November<\/h2>\n

\nOctober was over, the TV production was finished and suddenly I had time again. I decided to focus on YouTube a little more. I reached 300.000<\/em> subscribers this year. The fact that 300.000 people like what I’m doing is beyond my imagination. I’m so thankful for all of you. Thanks for making my YouTube life so much fun!<\/p>\n

\nLast but not least: December<\/em>. December has been awesome. My highlight of the month definitely is shooting the 4th Fashionmilk<\/a> photoshoot. The theme was Purple Glitter hair and Stars<\/em>. This was the first big shoot I did after finishing my hair course at WE R Agency<\/a>. At first my nerves were getting out of control, there was no way I could do all that fancy hair by myself. But guess what? I did it! I managed to make awesome looking Purple Glitter hair! I can’t wait to share the end results!<\/p>\n
