One of my most brilliant ideas ever(not) was to go back to pink hair for this tutorial..

So my idea for this tutorial was to go all out. I first wanted to do a Kevin Murphy dip-dye, but that quickly felt unfinished. Wigs aren’t really my forte, so I rapidly decided to make an appointment at my hair salon, and go back to the oh-so-wonderfull pink hair, I once rocked.

I arrive at my hair salon, do my usual Dutch three-kiss greetings and explain them I want to go back to the pink hair they once gave me before. Although this time I asked it to be a little bit more “baby pink” instead of “lilac-y, lavender”. “No Problem!” I immediately got as a response. Oh gosh, how I was excited. I would have this amazing baby pink hair, which would be A⁺ for my Sugar-Rush Land tutorial.

One of the hair stylists start working on my roots. Usual procedure thus far. Forty minutes later I’m left with perfectly, bleached, quite damaged roots. Again, usual procedure thus far. But this is where it all went down. My stylist tells me: “Be right back, gonna make your mixture. Let’s add a little magenta, to make it more pink”..

Now in the back of my mind alarm bells started going off, wait, what?… MAGENTA?
Wasn’t magenta based on red? Wasn’t red going to go very, very bright on my light hair?
I decided to ignore the alarm bells and relax for once in a while. Trust people, Nikkie..

My stylist starts putting the color in and all is fine. She rinses it out and she quietly tells me: “You know pink dye washes out extremely fast right?” … Why is she telling me this? What happened? – We walk to the nearest mirror and there it was…. Nikkie on Amanda Bynes crack.

What. The. Actual. Fudge. – This isn’t baby pink? This isn’t soft, cute and edgy but very wearable at the same time. THIS IS COTTON CANDY. My stylist styles my hair with some curls, and in the mean time I’m trying to fight back the tears.

Don’t get me wrong, I love bright colored hair, I get amazed by it.. But not on myself!

In the most depressed mood ever I walk to my car, feeling like Lady Gaga chased by paparazzi. I close my door and just start screaming. No really, I screamed.

As I think of numerous ways of purchasing multiple wigs on Ebay, I get home and leave my mom in utter shock, haha, you should’ve seen her face.

I walk to our shower and start washing my hair up to 7 times. My scalp no longer excisted, and the pink didn’t really get any lighter..

I decided to call my hair stylist, and ask for her to fix it. I went back to the salon, and my stylist quickly went back in with some bleach to make it all lighter.

My scalp felt like hell at this point, but it had to be done! After blow drying the whole thing and pampering me a bit, at last I finally had the soft baby pink, peachy hair I asked for..

Conclusion of this whole story: When you hear alarm bells in the back of your head, YOU LISTEN TO THEM! – I still think my hair is a little too bright, but for the Sugar-Rush tutorial it’ll be great. In the mean time I can’t wait for this to become a bit lighter.

I had a hard time deciding whether to get this or not. This flowy blazer can be cute, girly and fun one time but old, boring and granny-style the other. I decided to take a risk and go for it, I think it’ll be great for hot summer nights.

When online clothing shopping I tend to go by this rule: “Only buy things you can’t find in real life“. I could’ve easily found something similar to this at ZARA or H&M, but I just love how casual and edgy this shirt is.

Yeah, go ahead.. take a second. You’re back? GOOD! My love for this shirt is indescribable. One of my biggest guilty pleasures is Mr. Bean and when I bumped into this shirt I first laughed for about five minutes, then cried out of happiness and ended it all with a sensational feeling of joy all over my body.

M.A.C PRO Longwear Bronzer: “Nude on Board” – (€30,00 EUR /$30,00 USD) -
I think I may have a new bronzer obsession. The month of May has been great for my obsessing-over-makeup life. “Nude on Board” is truly stunning and might be the perfect bronzer for pale ladies and gents like myself. Color wise it’s extremely close to Illamasqua’s Powder Blush in “Disobey” which I use on a regular basis, to warm up my face.

“Nude on Board” is pigmented but not too overpowering. It’s easy to use and once again, perfect for pale people.

This weekend I had to do makeup for Fashionmilk‘s 4.0 photoshoot, and since almost all our models were pale girls I decided to bust out “Nude on Board” and put it to good use:

Ugh, just look at how beautifully the bronzer warmed Romy’s face up in such a natural way. I also brushed some in her crease and nose line for some extra definition. Stunning!

So, What’s the verdict?
I la la love this bronzer and think it’ll come as a God’s gift to pale people who are in desperate need of some bronzeness. Along with that, that bronze rubber packaging is just too awesome for words. Gosh, I wish I bought some back-ups of this.

This song is so catchy! It’s fun, very 2013 and again, a song that’ll stay in your head for days. Other than that I just really like Cascada, and I think she’ll be amazing live.

And finally my 12 POINTS go to… Denmark – Emmelie de Forest – “Only Teardrops”

Can we talk about instant winner-material?
Gorgeous girl? Yes – Whistles? Check! -Raining fire on stage? WINNER.
Denmark already has been crowned biggest favorite of the year, so my guess is we’ll be watching Eurovision 2014 from Copenhagen next year.

However, when I tried Benefit’s “The Porefessional” and the “They’re Real!” mascara my love for Benefit started growing rapidly. My love for them started growing so fast, I felt a little tickle in my makeup belly every time I used one of their products.

I decided to buy the Creaseless Cream Shadow in “My Two Cents” and Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a winner..


Let’s take a moment to appreciate the utter cuteness of this packaging. Benefit’s new Creaseless Cream Shadows come in a too cute for words vintage box. It takes you right back to the past and makes you feel like Marilyn Monroe opening one of her makeup products. Huge points on the packaging, Benefit! Great job!

As most of you know I’m a sucker for bronzy, browny, warm colors. So me telling you that I absolutely love the color of “My Two Cents” shouldn’t come as a surprise. This bronze beauty is perfect for daily wear and amping it up for heavier looks.

The formula of these cream shadows are great. They are pigmented, smooth and easy to apply. The best thing might be that they also blend like a dream. And once they’re set, they don’t budge.

So, What’s the verdict?
I have a new Benefit love. “My Two Cents” is utterly stunning and perfect for daily wear, or amping it up for a heavier, smokier look. The formula of these are great and really stay on like a dream. But what I love most about it all: that cute packaging, perfection!

When I saw amazing makeup artist Lisa Eldrigde use Y.S.L’s Rouge Volupté Shine lipstick in number 19 I literally gasped for air. Such a stunning, modern pop of color.
I decided to splurge and buy two Rouge Volupté Shines myself!


As I said before, the packing of these lipsticks are insane. Sometimes I wish I could live in one of these tubes. These gold wonders of Heaven instantly make you feel like a star. No really, these babies make you wanna touch up your lips everywhere, just to show off the gorgeous packing! – don’t judge, haha.

Y.S.L Rouge Volupté Shine: #15 “Corail Intuitive” – (€33,00 EUR /$34,00 USD) -
Starting off with the most wearable shade of the two. What a gorgeous stunner this is.
I love everything about #15. “Corail Intuitive” is perfect for a soft touch of color for Spring/Summer. It brings life to the face without taking over. I can see myself grabbing for this color very often when my face needs some subtle color action. I love it!

Y.S.L Rouge Volupté Shine: #19 “Fuschia in Rage” – (€33,00 EUR /$34,00 USD) -
This is the color Lisa Eldrigde used in her tutorial. Isn’t it amazing?
“Fuschia in Rage” is a great color for the days you want your lips to do all the work for you.

I know some of you will be disappointed in the fact these Rouge Volupté Shines are sheer, but with these colors I’m okay with that. It makes wearing bright lips outside that much more easy. It’s a great way to work your way up to even brighter lipsticks for outside.

So, What’s the verdict?
I literally have nothing bad to say about these. I love the packaging, the formula of the lipstick itself, the luxury feeling these give you and just.. I think I have a little crush on them. The only possible problem I can detect is their smell. The Rouge Volupté Shines, and almost all of the Y.S.L lipsticks have a really fruity smell. Something some of you might not like. Other than that, nothing but love, love, love for these.

INGLOT Lipsticks: #91/#94 – (€7,00 EUR per lipstick) -
Okay let’s start off by saying: YES INGLOT! Big thumbs up for actually making cold-colored lipsticks. I know blue lipsticks have been very demanded lately.
These four lipsticks were great. They’re creamy, opaque and easy to work with.
I can’t say I’ll be rocking chartreuse lips any time soon, but having that option is awesome.

INGLOT Lipsticks: #95, #96, #98, #99 – (€7,00 EUR per lipstick) -
Not gonna lie here, these colors are my favorite. I mean, just look at #99 and #96.
Ugh, utterly stunning! Again the consistency of these were great. No problems or whatsoever. A huge plus is that these are super pigmented and still have that creamy texture.

INGLOT Lipsticks: #97, #100 – (€7,00 EUR per lipstick) -
Last but not least the orange and white lipsticks. I’m not the biggest fan of the white. It’s a little too creamy, making it hard not to crease in the lines of your lips. It’ll be great for mixing with other lipsticks though. The orange is a beautiful leaning towards coral kind of orange, which I like!

So, What’s the verdict?
This is one hell of a good palette. INGLOT really impressed me with this one.
It’s pure eye-candy to look at and the formula of most of these are great.
Where some of these lipsticks can be a little too creamy some are just perfect.

But INGLOT, Where are the black and pure red in this palette? A huge miss to me.
Also the smell of these lipsticks can be a huge letdown to people, since they have a very sweet and fruity smell. Not a huge deal to me, but can be a problem to some of you.

Overall it’s a very fun, exciting and good palette and if you’re a experimental lip lover, definitely check this baby out! – ofcourse you can use these for high-fashion eye looks too.
